Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with LawFuze

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms part of the customer agreement between LawFuze AI Systems Limited and each user of the LawFuze platform. Breach of this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

Last updated: 17 May 2026·Next review: 17 November 2026

1. You must be a qualified UK legal professional

LawFuze is for SRA-regulated solicitors, regulated barristers, regulated in-house counsel and their authorised firm employees only. You confirm on sign-up that you hold a current practising certificate or operate under one. We verify SRA numbers against the SRA Find-a-Solicitor register.

2. You remain the supervising solicitor

Every AI output is research or drafting support, never legal advice and never an instruction. You remain professionally and personally responsible for any work product you send to a client under the SRA Standards and Regulations.

3. You must not

  • Upload content that you do not have the right to upload, including third-party copyrighted material outside the bounds of your client engagement.
  • Attempt to extract, scrape or train any model on LawFuze AI outputs or platform data.
  • Use LawFuze to give legal advice directly to a member of the public who is not your client; LawFuze is not a consumer legal-advice service.
  • Use LawFuze to circumvent reserved-activity rules under the Legal Services Act 2007.
  • Submit prompts that ask for content that incites violence, sexual exploitation of minors, terrorism, or the manufacture of weapons.
  • Attempt to identify, profile, defame or harass any named judge, court official, witness or party using LawFuze outputs.
  • Attempt to bypass tenant isolation, role-based access controls, or audit-log immutability.
  • Probe, scan or pen-test the production environment without prior written authorisation at security@lawfuze.com.
  • Use LawFuze to send unsolicited bulk email, SMS or any form of marketing communication outside our integrated workflows.
  • Resell, sublicense or expose LawFuze functionality to non-employees of your firm without our written consent.

4. AI safety expectations

Every AI output carries a confidence indicator and a citation set. Outputs without verified citations are blocked from copy/export by default; the supervising solicitor may override this control but the override is logged.

5. Reporting abuse or misuse

Report suspected misuse of LawFuze (by anyone, including your own firm) to security@lawfuze.com. Reports of unsafe AI outputs go to legal@lawfuze.com and we acknowledge within 24 hours.

6. Consequences of breach

We may suspend any account, refuse processing of any prompt, and terminate any agreement, where we reasonably believe this AUP has been or is being breached. Material or repeated breaches result in termination without refund. Breaches that disclose a possible criminal offence are reported to UK authorities.

AI Disclaimer

LawFuze provides AI-powered tools designed to assist qualified legal professionals. AI outputs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. All AI-generated analysis includes confidence scores and source citations and should be independently verified by a qualified solicitor before reliance. LawFuze does not replace the professional judgement of a regulated legal practitioner.

Regulatory Notice

LawFuze is a technology platform and is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal services. Solicitors using LawFuze remain individually responsible for compliance with the SRA Standards and Regulations and the SRA Code of Conduct. Use of AI tools does not diminish a solicitor's duty to their clients or professional obligations.

Data Protection

LawFuze processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Customer data is stored in the UK on Microsoft Azure (UK South region). AI inference uses named sub-processors in the EU and US; where data flows outside the UK/EEA we rely on ICO International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) supported by published Transfer Risk Assessments — treat IDTA execution as an in-progress control until each is signed and filed. The current sub-processor list and IDTA status of each is published on our sub-processor register. For data subject rights including access, rectification, erasure, and portability, contact legal@lawfuze.com.
