1. Parties
These Terms are between LawFuze AI Systems Limited (company number 16800372, registered in England & Wales) and you as an authorised user.
2. Service description
LawFuze is an AI-assisted legal practice platform for UK-qualified solicitors and their firms. It provides matter management, document intelligence, time recording, video consultations, and AI-assisted research and drafting. During the beta, UK case-law features are feature-flagged off and synthetic test data is used.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and a UK-qualified legal professional or an authorised employee of one. We verify SRA numbers against the SRA Find-a-Solicitor register.
4. Beta term & fees
The beta runs from acceptance until 1 September 2026. There are no fees during the beta. Paid tiers go live on 1 September 2026 and a founding-firm price lock applies to converted beta participants for 12 months from public launch.
5. Your responsibilities
- Read and follow the Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use.
- Keep your credentials secure; one user per account.
- Comply with SRA Standards and Regulations; LawFuze does not absorb your professional duties.
- Have a lawful basis to upload any personal data of others.
6. AI outputs — not legal advice
AI outputs are research and drafting support. They are not legal advice, do not establish a solicitor-client relationship, and must be verified by a qualified UK solicitor before any reliance. Your professional duties under the SRA Code of Conduct (paras 4–6, confidentiality; 6.5, own interest conflict) are not absorbed by LawFuze. See /legal/disclaimers for the consolidated AI, professional and beta disclaimers.
7. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant LawFuze a non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to provide the service. LawFuze owns the platform code, prompts, infrastructure and any anonymised, aggregated derived metrics.
8. Data protection
Processing is governed by our Privacy Policy and, where LawFuze acts as your processor, by the DPA at /dpa. We will respond to all UK GDPR data subject rights requests within 30 days.
9. Availability
We target 99% availability for the beta but make no warranty during Phase 1. Production SLAs apply from 1 September 2026 onwards under the post-launch Terms.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time by emailing legal@lawfuze.com. UK consumer law 14-day cancellation rights apply if you are a sole-trader purchasing as a consumer (rare, but enforceable). Export and deletion happen inside 30 days of cancellation.
11. Limitation of liability
During the beta, our aggregate liability is capped at £100 per participant for the entire beta period. The cap does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law (death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under UK law).
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or the AUP, on 30 days' notice for any reason, or immediately for material breach, security risk, or insolvency events.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
